United Way Hallowe'en Costume Auction 2009

Agrium Inc., United Way of Calgary and Area

Built an internal application to collect pledges for United Way. Users could match popular company executives with the costume of their choice. Created for over 6,618 internal employees (excluding contractors) using CFML (ColdFusion Markup Language), Adobe Flash, JavaScript, and a lot of patience with the company standard, Internet Explorer 6. Users were able to see and interact with pledge results in real time. This was one of the many ways Agrium got employee donations.

Agrium’s employees raised close to $600,000 CAD in 2009. Since Agrium matches employee’s donations, their donation to United Way was in excess of a million dollars.
